A Bit of Beauty

Hmmm... I haven't posted for a while. So what is a girl to do?

Why, look at what's on her desk, of course!

This lovely figurine (entitled "Beautiful Belle") was a Christmas gift from my parents. Belle is such a sweet heroine - a bookworm, a dreamer, and fiercely loyal to those whom she loves. The gentle colors, the flowery design, and the flowers themselves (reminders of the Beast and the lessons he had to learn about loving beyond appearances) are gorgeous, are they not?

I simply love the Jim Shore figurines. They make such great gifts - a way to share a bit of beauty with someone in your life. (You can generally find them in Hallmark stores, or you can scroll through all the delightful options on the Jim Shore website. Might I just make a quick note that "Someday is Today" - with Snow White and her Prince - is absolutely stunning?)

I think Belle would approve of the books, don't you?

Hope these pictures bring a bit of beauty to your day!

Beauty and the Beast was definitely one of my favorite movies growing up and I always imagined I was Belle... :)

Christina,

Oh, I love(d) that movie, too! And don't even get me started on using my imagination... I went through a whole Disney princess phase. ;) I used to love the "Disney Girl" books!

Lovely! Belle has always been my favorite Disney Princess. And great books you have there :)

Faye,

Thank you! While there are a lot of Disney princesses I've liked over the years, I think I relate to Bell the most. :) Beauty & the Beast is a great movie!

And yes, I'm excited to read those books! I got two more today (Promise Me This and Words Spoke True), so no worries about running out of reading material for the next...oh...hundred years! LOL! ;)

OH!! I LOVE JIM SHORE figurines!! I have about 10 of them myself, including Tinkerbell on my dresser. I just love this one of Belle; I've never seen it before, but would LOVE to add it to my collection. :D

I'll have to be on the lookout for it.

Have a blessed week, Amber!

I love Jim Shore. So far I only have a bible bag, and two tote bags. However for Christmas I was able to use Disney reward points and got my newest daughter a Classic Pooh figurine. I hope she'll love it as she grows.
